2022 Capricorn Ingress US – A Year of Big Changes Part 4

After analyzing the Libra Ingress, all that is left is the Capricorn Ingress for this astrological year. Obviously predicting things this far in advance is a little difficult especially in election years. And the results of this election will be key to what happens next. So this post will be a bit more vague.

When the Sun ingresses into Capricorn this on December 21, 2022 at 4:48 PM EST, it would have just set over Washington D.C. This places the Sun partile conjunct the descendant. This is a auspicious aspect. It will be a time of focusing on foreign events in the US after what will likely be a highly contested election, with a weak US economy and rampant inflation.

Adding to this is partile square to Jupiter at 0 Aries in the 10^th House. Jupiter is the rule of the 10^th House and the Midheaven, so the President, who ever it is at this time, will be well supported astrologically, but the same time be in adversarial position to the foreign focus of the US. Not really sure if what this could mean so far in the future, but in all likelihood the President’s actions may not easily resolve the situation or may make things worse.

Congress looks to have changed with Uranus in 11^th House at this point, but with Mars Retrograde in the 12^th House as it’s ruler, they will not be in a position to affect things greatly during the winter.

At this point the economy may be a bit better due to holiday spending, but the Moon which rules in the 2^nd House is without essential dignity and in the 6^th House. While this could be military service due to the foreign focus, this could also mean seasonal covid is here and some covid restrictions are back too.

Saturn in the 9^th House likely indicates a restriction of foreign trade. Of which there could be multiple reasons for such an event, more covid lock-downs in China, an expanded war in Europe, or every a depression in the US could cause this. It is hard to tell this far away which of these issues will dominate.

But to the overall point of the chart, the Ascendant and the Descendant are on the world axis of Cancer-Capricorn. This is means some type of signification world event will occur in the US at this time. After this astrological year, the US will likely seem to be a very different country than it was before. 2022 marks the end of an age, but also the beginning of a new one for the US.

What this new age looks like in the US will be more apparent in 2023 than 2022.
